Christmas In New York", from Neil Sedaka's
new CD "The Miracle of Christmas". Neil
sang and recorded this track with a piano, bass, & drum trio.
I then arranged, played, and recorded the strings, guitars, tenor
sax (Gary Herbig), percussion, keys, etc. I loved
working as Associate Producer on this CD. Neil
is one of the most brilliant and talented artists I have ever worked
with, and his wife Leba, who manages him, is pure
class and one of the nicest people I have ever worked with. The
CD is available at QVC and at Neil's
website. |
| |

| |
| "Sugar Sugar"
- from the Appleby's national TV commercial. I
produced and arranged this with Ron Dante. I played

One of the most popular songs ever, written by Jeff Barry
and Andy Kim. |
| |
| "I Need A Rock"
- from the new CD release "My Fatal Flaw" by
Orville Stoeber. I produced the entire CD with
Orville, along with executive producer Phoebe
Larmore. Orville played electric guitar.
I played all the other instruments, as well as the African-flavored
guitar solo. The song is written by Orville. Orville
is one of the most brilliant artists I have ever worked with. |
| |
| "Love's
Still The Answer" - from the Dreamworks
release "Here I Am" by famed Isley Brothers
lead singer Ronald Isley and brilliantcomposer/musician/arranger
Burt Bacharach. Burt and I produced
this track. Burt played electric piano. I played
nylon string guitar and programmed all the other parts. Neil
Stubenhaus laid some extra bass on, and John Robinson
added extra drums. The entire CD is brilliant. Hearing Ronald
Isley's silky smooth voice on those brilliant Bacharach-David
classics is sheer joy. This song is written by Burt
and Tonio K. |

Theme" - from a Mercedes ad campaign I
did for Pierre Cossette. I composed this piece,
and played all the instruments. |
| |

(Neil Sedaka) and "Solitaire"
(Clay Aiken). I played all the instruments. |

"The World Stunt Awards", directed by Gary
Halvorson. I composed, produced, and played all the instruments

of my favorite tracks. Neil sang and played acoustic
piano. I played, arranged, and programmed all the other instruments.
Neil wrote this song by himself. |
| |
| "That's Love"
- from Dave Mason's new CD "Alone Together...Again".
I produced the entire CD with Dave. Dave
is singing and playing guitar on this. Dave is
one of the greatest guitarists on the planet. Special guest Sheila
E is singing and playing percussion. Other musicians include
Tal Bergman (Billy Idol), Renato
Neto (Prince), Carmine Rojas
(Rod Stewart), and Mike Finnigan
(Jimi Hendrix) |
| |
| "Tight Connection
To My Heart" - from Bob Dylan's CBS
album "Empire Burlesque". I played all the guitar
solos on this, and former Rolling Stone member
Mick Taylor and Bob added rhythm
guitars. Sly Dunbar & Robbie Shakespeare
played drums and bass. Backgrounds are by Peggi Blu,
Carol Dennis, Madeleine Quebec,
and Queen Esther Marrow. If you ever see the video
for this record, you'll notice that there is a Japanese guitarist
playing all of my solos. That's because Bob did
the video in Japan, while I was busy working in New York. D'oh! |
| |
| "Turn Out
The Stars" - from the Manhattan's CD "Even
Now" (Alpine Records). This was a huge hit on R&B
radio in 2003, and still gets airplay across the country. Gerald
Alston is singing the amazing lead vocal. Background vocals
are by Gerald, Blue Lovett. Peggi
Blu, Terry Bradford, and Will
Wheaton, Jr. Famed LA session ace Gerald Albright

Coffey. I wrote and produced this song with Phil
Cody and Elizabeth Keck. I played all
the instruments. Kellie also sang the harmony vocals. |
| |
| "Walk Away"
- sung by the thrilling vocalist Lori Perry. This
is the demo version of the song, which was also recorded by Celine
Dion and Josh Groban. I arranged and played
all the instruments, and produced this along with Albert
Hammond. The song is listed as being written by Albert
and Marti Sharron, but I should also be listed
as one of the writers of the music. A legal issue that hopefully
will be resolved one day. |
| |
| "unanimous"
- the title from Terry Bradford's CD of the same
name (Infinity Records). I wrote, arranged, and produced this with
Terry. I am playing all the instruments here, and
Terry is singing all the vocals. One of the most
beautiful records I have ever been involved with. |
| |
| "Water" -
by the late great Syreeta Wright. The former wife
of Stevie Wonder was someone I always wanted to
work with. I produced an entire CD's worth of tracks with her that
will hopefully get released one day. This is one of my favourites.
I played all the instruments and Syreeta sang all
the vocals. Syreeta and I produced this record
together. It rocks from start to finish. |
| |
| "When
You Started Loving Me" - featuring studio vocal whiz Sue
Ann Carwell. I produced and arranged this record along
with my dear friend and collaborator Fergie Reid.
It was written by myself, Fergie, Lou Coppola,
and Diana Haig. Diana also contributed
some arranging to the track. Sue sang the lead and all the background
vocals. She is one of the "behind the scenes" genius'
of the music business, and is responsible for vocal arrangements
on mega hits by Celine Dion, Toni Braxton,
Monica, TLC, and many others. |
| |
| "Too Far,
Too Fast" - by one half of the "Everly Brothers"
duo Phil Everly. Phil sang harmony
on all the Everly's hits, but as you can hear he
is equally adept at singing lead. This track needs to be used on
the closing credits of the "Soprano's" HBO
TV show. I produced this with Phil and John
Durrill. Phil played acoustic guitar,
John played electric piano. I played the guitar
solos and all the other instruments. What a thrill to hear that
legendary "voice" coming out of the speakers! |
| |
| "Go Away
Little Boy" - from Peggi Blu's excellent
CD "Livin' On Love" (Expansion Records in the
UK and Europe). This is the only track from that CD recorded with
a live band in the studio. Gerald Albright is playing
bass, Brandon Fields is on tenor sax, David
Loeb is on keys, Grant Geissman and myself
are on guitars, Paul Goldberg is on drums, and
Steve Forman is playing all the percussion parts.
The brilliant background vocals are sung and arranged by Peggi,
Terry Bradford, Bridgette Bryant,
Maxi Anderson, and Will Wheaton, Jr.
This performance by Peggi raises the bar for what
is considered "soulful" and "emotional" by a
singer. I couldn't be more proud of this entire CD - Peggi
Blu is, in my opinion, one of the greatest singers and
performers we have ever had in this business. The fact that she
has been married to me for so long is a testament to our love for
each other. The fact that she can sing like this is proof that there
is a God above who bestows talent in huge doses on certain special
individuals like Peggi. |
| |
| "You"
- from brilliant British singer/songwriter Zara.
I produced this and played and programmed all the instruments. Zara
is playing acoustic guitar as well as singing all the vocals, including
the great backgrounds. Zara's musical background
is very rich, including working with UK legends Bob Geldorf
(Boomtown Rats), Boy George, John
Illsley (Dire Straits), and David
Essex. |
